After his studies he joined the pharmaceutical industry as QA Manager, where he acquired profound GMP knowledge. In this position, he supervised contract manufacturers with regard to quality issues, managed technology transfers to contract manufacturers and optimised documentation processes. Over time he managed to optimise day-to-day business. As Operational Excellence Manager he simplified production processes, introduced standards and promoted the mindset for continuous improvement. His current management role in a manufacturing company has given him sound experience in the process-oriented pharmaceutical industry. As part of his MBA (Master of Business Administration), he studied the topic of lean management and the advantages of this system.
