currently works in Technology Transfer Management, Global Healthcare Operations at Merck Healthcare KGaA. She studied Pharmacy in Marburg and holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Saarland University. This was followed by several years in research and development in the field of clinical trial sample manufacturing. Here she managed manufacturing areas as well as held the role of Head of Manufacturing according to AMWHV (German Ordinance on the Manufacture of Medicinal Products and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients). During this time, among other activities, she developed and implemented an operational concept for a new manufacturing facility. In the area of operational excellence, Dr. Kann, as Business Program Lead and certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, designed the new implementation of a state-of-the-art manufacturing execution system for inventory management and production for a high-containment manufacturing facility.
