is a specialist in clinical pharmacology and moved to the pharmaceutical industry in 1999 after having worked as an assistant physician in internal medicine at the Philipps University of Marburg for several years. There he successfully headed global drug development departments for a number of international pharmaceutical companies (Altana, Mundipharma, Nycomed, Takeda) before moving on to herbal medicinal products, initially taking over responsibility for Research & Development at Bionorica in 2017 and, since 2019, heading the R&D Division of the Schwabe Group as Executive Vice President, where he is helping to shape the future of phytomedicine together with around 100 employees.
