studied chemistry at the TH Karlsruhe and did his doctorate at the Biochemistry Center Heidelberg and the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He has been working at Merck KGaA since 2005, initially in various positions in pharmaceutical development and headed Merck's internal working group for the evaluation of genotoxic impurities for several years. Since 2017, he has been responsible for analytical optimisation projects in a global role at Merck's Manufacturing Science & Technologies division.
