Dr. Christian Käsbauer

studied chemistry and has been working on plant ingredients since beginning his doctorate in 1996 at the Chair of Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Regenburg. After joining the pharmaceutical industry at a contract manufacturer for solid forms, he moved to the quality control department of Bionorica SE in 2004, where he has been responsible for the analytics of drugs and extracts ever since. In addition, he also headed the quality control of dronabinol (∆9-THC), which is extracted from cannabis, there for many years. In 2016, he was appointed to the EDQM's expert group 13B to contribute his knowledge on the analytics of cannabis and other medicinal plants.
