is a veterinarian with a doctorate in veterinary phytotherapy. He has worked at the Research Institute for Organic Agriculture in Frick, Switzerland for more than 20 years. There he heads the Department of Farm Animal Science together with his colleague Florian Leiber. His research focuses on preventive herd medicine for livestock and clinical and ethnoveterinary research on the use of medicinal plants in livestock. He is also involved in education and training for farmers, veterinarians and agronomists. The regulatory aspects of the use of plants rich in secondary metabolites in animals also always play an important role.
