holds a doctorate in human medicine and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. His work has focussed on clinical research, pharmacology, marketing authorisation of medicinal products and product vigilance, in particular pharmacovigilance. He has covered these areas of work both, for companies that manufacture preparations chemically defined as an individual active ingredient and, above all, for those that manufacture natural health products of herbal origin or homeopathic remedies. Questions of demarcation from medical devices, food and cosmetics have also been recurring topics. He has headed the Schwabe Group's Global Pharmacovigilance Department since 2020.
