is Head of Environmental, Occupational and Health Protection (EHS) at Boehringer Ingelheim Germany. He studied and obtained his doctorate at the ”Freie Universität” of Berlin and is a pharmacist specialising in pharmaceutical analytics and technology; in addition, he holds a Master of Arts in industrial and organisational psychology and is an occupational safety specialist. He used to be an independent pharmacist and worked in four pharmaceutical companies in analytical and pharmaceutical development, quality control and quality assurance, medicinal plant breeding and procurement before moving to the EHS, where he is responsible for various chemical law issues.
