Ellen Frederichs

studied law at the University of Bonn and has more than 20 years of experience in implementing international environmental agreements at the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation. She started at the German CITES Management Authority in 1999 and in 2015 took the opportunity to establish the German Competent National Authority (CNA) for the Nagoya Protocol. She has been part of various committees and panels such as the EU Expert Group for the Nagoya Protocol and has participated in various national and international meetings and conferences to bring her enforcement experience to the negotiations.
