Der Vortrag über die rechtliche Verankerung und die praktischen Herausforderungen von Kombinationsprodukten wurde von zwei erfahrenen Expertinnen im Rahmen der Konferenz zu Kombinationsprodukten in der EU (nach Art 117 MDR) am 11./12.11.2024 gehalten: Rechtsanwältin Dr. Angela Graf und Berit Frei. Dr. Graf ist Spezialistin für das Medizinprodukterecht und berät Unternehmen umfassend zur Einhaltung komplexer regulatorischer Vorgaben. Arzneimittel-Medizinprodukte-Kombinationen sind keine „regulatorische Neuheit“, sondern seit jeher Bestandteil der Patientenversorgung. Mit der MDR wurden jedoch auch sie neu reguliert. Der vorliegende Vortrag beleuchtet die Rechtsgrundlagen der Verordnung und seine Auswirkungen auf die pharmazeutische und Medizinprodukte-Industrie. Dabei soll aus juristischer und praktischer Sicht aufgezeigt werden, welche grundlegenden Schwierigkeiten die neuen Regelungen mit sich bringen und die Frage aufgeworfen werden, ob die anstehende Überarbeitung des Arzneimittelrechts diese beheben kann.
