Phase-II-Prüfstrategie und erweiterte Umweltrisikobewertung
Die „Guideline on the environmental risk assessment of medicinal products for human use" (EMEA/CHMP/SWP/4447/00 corr 2) ist seit 2006 gültig. Sie beschreibt, wie eine Umweltverträglichkeitsbewertung ("environmental risk assessment", ERA) als Bestandteil der Zulassungsunterlagen durchzuführen ist. Eine revidierte Fassung, die seit 2018 diskutiert wurde, tritt zum 1. September in Kraft (4447/00 rev 1).
Zahlreiche Änderungen und erweiterte Anforderungen ergeben sich aus der Überarbeitung der Guideline, z. B. hinsichtlich Datenanforderungen, Teststrategien (insbesondere bei Antibiotika), der Bewertung möglicher Risiken durch Bioakkumulation in der Umwelt und der zu verwendenden Methodik.
Die zunehmende Bedeutung des Umweltgedankens wird auch in Entwurf zur revidierten Arzneimittel-Richtlinie 2001/83/EG deutlich, der die Ziele des Europäischen „Green Deals“ nach mehr Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit berücksichtigt. So wird eine „Lifecycle“-Betrachtung von Arzneimitteln auch unter Umweltgesichtspunkten gefordert.
Dieses Online-Seminar, das in Kooperation von ACA-pharma concept GmbH und ALPHATOPICS GmbH veranstaltet wird, ist besonders praxisorientiert. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Erstellung von ERAs anhand der revidierten Guideline mit den vielfältigen Neuerungen. Sie erfahren außerdem, welche Auswirkungen die Änderungen auf Ihre bereits erstellten ERA hat.
In diesem Teil wird intensiv auf die Phase IIa/b Bewertung eingegangen unter Berücksichtigung der physikalisch-chemische Eigenschaften, Verbleib in der Umwelt und Ökotoxizität der Stoffe sowie deren Einfluss auf die relevanten Umweltkompartimente Oberflächenwasser, Sediment, Abwasser, Boden, Grundwasser. Nach einer Risikobewertung für jedes Kompartiment muss ggf. eine erweiterte Bewertung (Phase IIb) durchgeführt werden.
Das ERA wird als CTD-Modul 1.6 der Zulassungsunterlagen eingereicht. Ein Template wird im Rahmen des Webinars erstellt.
