Eignungsprüfungen bei der mikrobiologischen Untersuchung von nicht sterilen Arzneimitteln
Obwohl die Methoden des Europäischen Arzneibuches (Ph. Eur.) als validiert gelten, wird häufig noch eine Verifizierung gefordert. So müssen auch für die mikrobiologische Untersuchung von nicht sterilen Arzneimitteln produktspezifische Überprüfungen (Eignungsprüfungen) durchgeführt werden. Damit soll sichergestellt werden, dass die entsprechenden Methoden im jeweiligen Labor und auch mit dem jeweiligen zu untersuchenden Produkt geeignet sind, bestimmte Mikroorganismen nachzuweisen. Der allgemeine Rahmen für die Durchführung von Eignungsprüfungen ist in den jeweiligen Kapiteln der Ph. Eur. vorgegeben. Bei der praktischen Umsetzung ergeben sich jedoch häufig Herausforderungen. Neben synthetischen Produkten können hier auch pflanzliche Arzneimittel, wie die in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnenden Cannabisprodukte, modifizierte Methoden erfordern, da diese oftmals antimikrobielle Stoffe enthalten.
In diesem Webinar werden zum einen die allgemeinen Anforderungen der Ph.Eur. an produktspezifische Eignungsprüfungen vorgestellt. Zum anderen werden konkrete Problemstellungen aus der Praxis und mögliche Lösungsansätze diskutiert.
