studied pharmacy at the University of Münster, where she obtained her PhD in pharmaceutical biology. Following postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health (USA), she qualified as a professor in pharmacology. This was followed by academic posts as Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Florida and as Professor of Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. She has been Medical Director at Max Zeller & Söhne AG since 2018. She also holds a teaching post in Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Basel and lectures in the field of phytotherapy. She is the author of over 100 scientific publications and is active on various expert committees and editorial boards.
