Since 2008, he has been Head of the "Regulatory Toxicology and Risk Assessment" module (postgraduate studies in toxicology and environmental protection) at the University of Leipzig, where he held the professorship for pharmacology and toxicology from 2006 to 2022. He specialises in the areas of medicinal products (regulatory, preclinical, CTD modules), medical devices (regulatory, biocompatibility, clinical evaluation, combination products according to MDR Art. 117) as well as REACH/CLP and the safety of chemicals (authorisation).
