Bärbel Hintermeier

is a founding partner of the law firm LEKKER Partners for food law and sustainability. She advises companies in particular on the marketability of innovative product developments, on labelling and competition law issues ranging from health claims to green claims, as well as on regulatory complaints, product recalls and compliance management. The firm's clients include companies from the beverage and dietary supplement industries, manufacturers of baked goods and cereal products as well as confectionery and snack manufacturers. During her practical training, Bärbel Hintermeier worked in Berlin, Munich and Cape Town before spending several years as a solicitor at meyer.rechtsanwälte in Munich. Alongside work, she also studied sustainability management at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Before founding the law firm, she was responsible for food law and sustainability issues as a corporate lawyer at the Cereal Processing, Milling and Starch Industry (VGMS). In addition to publications in journals, she regularly gives lectures and teaches at the DHBW Heilbronn.
